Silence Bleeds originated in late 2004 as the lead singer's [Goddess] solo project. In 2005, Goddess went into J.A. Castle Recording Studio to cut a few demo songs that she had been previously working on. These songs included "Forgiveness", "Believe", & "Break". The overall basis of these three songs and lyrics consisted of both personal and fictional aspects of her life.

'I more or less had a vision of creating metaphysical music containing vampiric overtones'- Goddess

Several months after all the recordings were finished and cut, Goddess publicized her work online and went onto find other local musicians interested in joining her project. After several months of continual failure of interested local musicians, Goddess decided to go beyond the immediate band scene. Without hesitation, she searched the Syracuse and surrounding regions for musicians. With luck, in the summer of 2006, Dave became the first official member to join Silence Bleeds. With Dave and Kassandra's paired efforts, they auditioned several musicians and continued the search for similar musicians as themselves. Their search continued for approximately four months. In November of 2006, a drummer by the name of Mani auditioned. With instant chemistry, Mani was the next official member of Silence Bleeds. With almost the entire lineup complete, Kassandra-Dave-and Mani continued to search for a bassist, but, also worked on getting their name out to the music scene. In mid- February, George became the final bassist to the band!

Now, with their full lineup, Silence Bleeds is invading the music scene. They are gigging out all over central New York and have already had the opportunity of headlining a college concert along with a girls Rock & Roll concert. Their fan base is increasing with each and every performance they participate in. Their unique sound and image complete differentiates among other local musicians, along with their energetic stage presence. As far as sound goes, Silence Bleeds can be described as a nu-metal band with both progressively haunting and musing female vocals.

'...inspiration ranging from feelings of lost love...'

The combination of aggressive beats and melodic vocals is close, but not the full extent to which Silence Bleeds is made of. If one takes into consideration their metaphysical lyrics and mystifying dark beauty, almost disguised if not aware, then one shall see what Silence Bleeds is and what Silence Bleeds will become.

Goddess: When it comes to influences, I have too many to count. Some of them include No Doubt, Adema, Korn, and Orgy. If I had to choose my ultimate influence, it would have to be Gwen Stefani. When I first saw Gwen on MTV, I wanted to be exactly like her. At that time, I loved her style and stage presence. Without her inspiration throughout my teens, I don't think I would be the same musician as I am today.

Dave: For me, the guitar was the most interesting instrument. The people that inspired me the most included: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Kerry King, Jimi Page and Eric Clapton. These guitar heroes knew how to give 100% when they wrote and played their instrument. They all had the gift of having their own unique sound. You knew after one note who that person was.

Mani: When I started playing drums in the 80's, Stewart Copeland of The Police was who I wanted to be. When I got older and became more involved with music, I took notice of one specific drummer, Neil Peart of Rush. Emulating both Copeland and Pearts style has allowed me to play tunes from Cream to Spineshank.
